Resort developers, tribal rights and the authority of the state of Montana interfere with his way of life. “Giant” Reminiscent of Rock Hudson in the film, he tries to cling to the old ways. “Yellowstone” A short introduction builds quickly, but its story unfolds at the natural pace of a day in the desert, dwelling on tribal customs, cowboy traditions and political machinations.
Land and family are his lifeblood
This is a vast movement that rests on the boundaries between law and justice, family and friendship. Costner seems to have naturally filled the space of his character. He is a world-weary man who has seen too much and lied too often. He hears footsteps approaching, but he can only play his unusual role as much as loyalty.
A slice of life that gives a glimpse into another world
While some of the actions are a bit confusing due to the lack of explanation, it feels authentic to the viewer. I hope the resolution of this story includes an emotional payoff that reflects its scope and attention to detail. Update 7/20/18: After four episodes, the series has a strong voice and a relentless pace. We learn the entirety of each story, from root to fruition.
